Point Breeze, Pittsburgh, PA 15208
If you’ve read the book, An American Childhood by Annie Dillard (which you really need to do if you live in Pittsburgh) then you’ve already gotten a glimpse of the idyllic Pittsburgh neighborhood of Point Breeze, and nearby Park Place. This East End community is almost completely residential, but is so convenient to East Liberty, Shadyside and Squirrel Hill that you will easily be able to get your shopping fix. The most prominent feature of Point Breeze is Henry Clay Frick's Clayton, part of the 5-acre Frick Art & Historical Center. The Frick is surrounded by a sleepy neighborhood of lovely older single-family homes, Bungalows and American Four Squares.
